Vivo Y20 — Specifications, features and review of the pocket-friendly smartphone
Vivo Y20 is yet another premium smartphone from the popular phone maker. Unlike the Infinix Zero 8 flagship device, Vivo presents its new smartphone at a cheap price, appending excellent features to it despite the leeward bend in price.
Y20 flaunts a non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery with an added capacity to fast charge at 18W. Like most middle-class smartphones, it comes with a RAM storage of 4GB while an internal storage of 64GB is provided for sleek-built device.
Users would only be able to purchase the phone in two colour variants: Obsidian Black and Dawn White. Below follows the detailed review of the new Vivo Y20 smartphone.
Display
The device’s display which is of a tear-drop design features a 6.51″ HD+ resolution display size. The bottom of the device’s screen highlights more bezel than the sides and top, as in most brands, as it retains the premium feel usual of preceding releases.

Vivo Y20 — Camera
The Y20 is served at the rear by a triple camera arrangement consisting of a 13MP, 2MP and 2MP camera lenses. Including the single LED flash, these components lineup vertically to make-up the only features at the rear.
The front end of this device has a front camera situated on the tear-drop pattern at the top of the device. There is however no room for a front flash.
Both camera’s [email protected] video rendering ensures vloggers and videoing enthusiasts get their desired recording made. However, the recently released Infinix Zero 8 betters the Y20 as it has an option to record at [email protected] frames per second. While the latter is necessary for clearer view due to increased pixels, usually times 4 of 1080, the former is best for vloggers who intend their videos to be viewed by mobile users of which the majority of their devices support such. 4K videos are ideal for most of the new HD televisions.

Memory, Software and Processor
Vivo Y20 is served by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor based on eight cores. Its graphics unit is served by an Andreno 610 GPU.
A 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage provided for the Y20 allows for its smooth run and undeterred multitasking. The internal storage according to Vivo is much less of the stated value due to pre-installed applications and operating system. The smartphone’s ROM size could be extendable by an external memory chip of value up to 256GB.
There’s a unique game mode, as with majority of new brands, which allows an immersive uninterrupted gaming experience. A multi turbo 3.0 feature roundly predicts and resolves abnormalities, mostly from third party apps, ushering users a better experience.

Battery, Sensors and connectivities
With an 18W fast charging technology, Vivo claims the Y20 device could charge its 5,000mAh battery to 70% in just 69 minutes. Upon a full charge, by virtue of its AI power saving technology, the smartphone can serve users 16 hours of online HD movie streaming, or 11 hours of resource-intensive gaming.
Reverse charging is also possible with the Y20 smartphone, although an OTG cable needs to be bought separately for such purpose.
A now famous side mounted fingerprint sensor serves as one of the smartphone’s unlock medium. Its unlocking time is reportedly 0.22s with screen on and 0.37s with screen off. Below are more connectivity features supported by the smartphone.

The price is certain to fluctuate with time depending on market demands. With the dismal and wavering performance of the Naira in the exchange, the cost of the product would linger around that sum.

Vivo is a Chinese phone maker known for its premium releases. They have however mellowed down on their price coming up with a pocket friendly yet feature packed smartphone in Vivo Y20.
The Vivo brand is reknown for its durable brand. Its features though of durable quality, comes at a cost.
