Samsung galaxy A51 specs: unique quad cameras

Samsung galaxy A51 features a punch-hole design and excellent display specifications with minimal bezels whlile fully maximising screen spaces.

The 6.5″ 20:9 Infinity-O Super AMOLED display of FullHD+ resolution bear an underneath fingerprint sensor similar to the those by galaxy A71 earlier reviewed. In fact all the specifications and design of the galaxy A51 is similar to those of galaxy A71 except few exceptions.

The quad rear cameras are aligned like the A71 but the main camera lens has a lower pixel count of 48. The front display looks similar but a closer look reveals that the punch hole which houses the selfie camera for both devices is a little bigger than that of galaxy A51.

Also, while the popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor is made for the A71, A51 is equipped with Exynos 9611, and aswell both smartphones has different graphics processor.

Samsung galaxy A51 comes with a non-removable battery which has a capacity of 4000mAh(500mAh lesser than that of galaxy A71). This battery could only fast charge at 15W.

Infinity-O display

Slapped on the AMOLED display is a gorilla glass protection similar to the one on the galaxy A71. Pastel shades including Prism Crush Black, White, Blue and Pink adorn the back of galaxy A51.

When measured diagonally, the screen size is 6.5″ and 6.3″ when rounded corners are emmited. Viewable area is actually less by reason of the rounded corners and the punch-hole camera cutout.

Advantage: The overall display specifications is laudable.

Disadvantage: Other competing models packs lesser thickness and screen size.

Sensitive quad cameras

Same camera arrangement like ones by the A71, the device comes with four rear camera sensors. The 48MP main camera could deliver clear photos at an angle of 80°.

For a wider capture especially when taking group photographs, the 123° 12MP Ultra Wide Cam captures more of the view. The 5MP macro camera sensor serves only one purpose – capturing very near but tiny objects excellently. The upgraded sensor makes sure any subject is captured with excellent details however tiny it may be.

The multiple live focus effects packed by the 5MP depth camera spotlights a subject to captured excellently while considering less of the background.
The selfie focus is similar to the live focus of the rear camera. This feature adds a gently blur to the background, spotlighting your face consequently.

The device seems to come as a lesser variant to the galaxy A71.
