Huawei Nova 5z specifications, price and review

Chinese smartphone maker, Huawei has released yet another superbly feature-packed device in Huawei Nova 5z.

Huawei didn’t manufacture this device to be a trailing one in the smartphone competition market but a model to beat.

It is interesting to note that Huawei has it’s own marketing strategies different from the ones by Tecno and Infinix. While Tecno brand comes cheap with moderate features, the huawei branded phone most times comes with a full-fletched technology inspired features.

This consequently leads to a higher cost of huawei phones than the later.

Continuing in this trend, Huawei packs it’s 5z model with an impressive 6GB/8GB RAM coupled with the industry’s foremost quad camera setup.

The device which comes in the variant of 6GB RAM,64GB ROM & 8GB RAM,128GB ROM features in two versions: the universal SPN- AL00 and SPN-TL00 for Chinese users.

Huawei 5z features smart charging protocols as it’s 4000mAh battery fast charge at 20W.

The device obviously doesn’t support 5G network and optical fingerprint scanner.

The two variant of the device could be best be identified by it’s memory difference.

There’s the one with a 6GB RAM paired with a 64GB internal storage capacity. The other variant which has a RAM size of 8GB has an internal storage capacity of 128GB.

Both variant’s internal storage capacity could be increased up to 512GB. This is made only through a Micro SD card which shares the same slot with Sim 2 of the phone.

Verdict!

Display: The device’s bezel-less, punch-hole IPS LCD display is satisfactory however it’s 6.26 inches screen size is merely fair for this quality of device.Overall the device’s display setup is fair.
Processing: The device’s Octa core (2.27 GHz, Dual core, Cortex A76 + 1.88 GHz, Hexa Core, Cortex A55) processors based on a 64 bit architecture is excellent. This pairs up with the Mali G52 MP6 GPU which defines the graphics of the device.
Storage:The storage capacity offered by Nova 5z is just excellent. The RAM size of 6GB & 8GB are one of the best in the industry. Same with it’s internal memory of 64GB & 128GB.
Camera: With a 48 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP quad primary cameras featuring an Exmor-RS CMOS Sensor, you are sure of a good photography experience.The 32MP front camera roundly finalise the premium camera setup offered by Huawei on the device
