What is Do Not Disturb?

Promotional messages are truly a pain in the neck, even NCC recognizes this. No wonder they had to enforce the 2442 short code on every telecom in Nigeria.

In other words, do not disturb is not only available on Glo platforms, but you can also invoke 2442 on MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9mobile or any other telecom network. It is that simple and easy.

How Glo Do Not Disturb Work

To get started with Do Not Disturb on your Glo line, simply text “HELP” to 2442. There is no SMS charge involved.

You can choose to go for FULL DND by texting STOP to 2442. To revert to receiving all messages, text ALLOW to 2442. If you wish to check your DND status, text STATUS to 2442.

Alternatively, you can select what kind of promotional message you wish to stop from a list of 11 options provided. The options range from banking, real estate and education to sports, health, education, religion and news alert, etc.

The Benefits of Do Not Disturb

Most Nigerians quickly shove off most of the promotional messages to their SPAM folder. While this may help, it is not the best solution. You could completely stop the messages by activating DND.Activating Glo Do Not Disturb is a great way to protect your privacy. You will receive only the messages you want or simply block off all of the messages with just one SMS or short code.
